Color Pencil Portrait Workshop
This workshop is all about color! Grab a piece of toned (colored) paper and your colored pencils. You'll learn how to draw a portrait full of vibrancy and emotion - with a lot less work than using white paper!
a piece of toned paper, not black
a graphite sketching pencil, 2H, H or HB recommended
a variety of colored pencils - you will need white & black, 2-3 colors similar to your paper and 2-3 colors contrasting with your paper
We will work from a photo reference to create a quick sketch of a portrait and then a finished piece with colored pencil. We will use a similar photo to the sample posted with shoulders and full head. Students should have some comfort with drawing people, suggested for ages 14+.
Class is held on November 8th 4pm - 6pm online via Zoom
Instructor: Maxx Follis-Goodkind
Maxx loves drawing people, they are her favorite subject. Watching a subject come to life on a piece of paper or canvas never gets old. She can't wait to share this with you.
